Born in 1962 and residing in Poulton–Le–Fylde, Lancashire on the west coast of England. He has painted for several years, originally working as a freelance illustrator before lecturing full time in natural history illustration. More recently he has begun to concentrate more on his wildlife painting, using various mediums to capture intimate moments of birds in their natural habitat.

He has exhibited widely in the UK including, the National Exhibition of Wildlife Art - Liverpool and the Wirral, Mall Galleries – London and Black Sheep gallery - Cheshire. In 2005 he had the honor of having his work jury selected and exhibited alongside other international wildlife artists at the acclaimed Birds in Art exhibition, Leigh Yawkey Woodson Art Museum, Wisconsin (USA).

We had the pleasure of meeting Mr. Cook at this year's Birds in Art exhibit and invited him to exhibit on our pages.
