James Kiesow

 A resident of Port Washington, Wisconsin, James Kiesow has been painting for about 30 years.  Although largely self-taught, James has done workshops with such acclaimed wildlife artists as Robert Bateman, Guy Coleach, Bob Kuhn, Robert Abbett, and John Seery- Lester.   His passion for the outdoors, and hunting and fishing, gives him the inspiration to paint what he sees, and experiences.  Some of his accomplishments include:

 Juried into Arts for the Parks Competition and show, 1990, 2005, and 2006.
 Juried into Birds in Art, at Leigh Yawkee Woodson Art Museum, 2004 
 Became a member in the prestigious Society of Animal Artists in 2000
Juried into the Society of Animal Artists “Art and the Animal” show 2005, 2007, and 2008, including their miniature show. 
Finalist for the Wyoming Conservation Stamp, 2001, and 2003. 
Finished third in The Artists Magazine Art competition 1994. The painting was featured on the cover of the magazine.
