Art Statement:    Wildlife has its unique enchantment, the emotion underneath is what I have been Exploring and studying for. I am inspired and touched by many great Wildlife artworks, by their beauty, histrionics, sometimes even fragility. There is not only animals and plants in Wildlife artworks, but gnosis towards life and society, positive and negative. My artworks usually reflect the bright side of the life rather than the dark side, because I believe that the world is full of beauty, although sometimes it could be cruel. As I was edified by both eastern and western artistic cultures, I have been searching the balance between two. Traditional Chinese painting and oil painting, two different styles impact each other inside my mind, somehow it leads me towards a new direction, the combination of two. However, this is just a beginning, the never-stop exploring and studying is fulfilling my life, and making my journey exciting.

Snowy owls represent love as they are symbols of pure beauty and innocence. Buddhas are created by the people who worship them in hope that enlightenment will be shared. Silent Benison suggests Buddha's blessing for all creatures, including these birds. The setting is the Mogao Grottoes - also know as the Thousand Buddha Cave - located south-west of Dunhuang in Gansu province. The concious absence of humans in the painting reflects my pessimistic view of the world at this time. What is to be the fate of the snowy owls? Perhaps only the Buddhas know.
